Brisbane River Loop is the city's signature long-distance running route and one of the most popular endurance runs in Queensland. Following the Brisbane River through South Bank, Kangaroo Point, New Farm and Howard Smith Wharves, the route combines waterfront scenery with uninterrupted shared pathways and multiple bridge crossings.

The route is highly flexible, allowing runners to customise the distance depending on their training goals. Additional bridge crossings and detours through New Farm can easily extend the route beyond 20 kilometres, while shorter variations are equally accessible for casual runners and visitors.

Sunrise runs offer cooler temperatures and beautiful reflections across the river, while evening sessions provide skyline views as the city lights come alive. Water fountains, cafés and public facilities along the route make logistics simple for both locals and travellers.

Whether training for a marathon, maintaining base fitness or exploring Brisbane on foot, the Brisbane River Loop delivers one of Australia's most enjoyable urban running experiences.
